Work Study

What is work-study?
The work-study program provides jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to your major course of study.

How much will I make?
Your work-study wages will be at least the current federal minimum wage. Your total work-study award depends on when you apply, your level of need, and the funding level of the school.

How will I be paid?
You will be paid by the hour. The school will pay you directly at least once a month on your Bulldog card.  Go to the following link, sign-in, click payroll, then payroll preference to activate this function of your card.  www.holmesbulldogcard.com/

Can I work as many hours as I want?
No. Effective July 1, 2012 the total maximum hours per month will not exceed 40 hours. When assigning work hours, the Financial Aid Office will consider your class schedule and your academic progress.

How do I apply for work-study?
Complete the FAFSA. Complete an application for work study. Obtain a college work-study information form by contacting the address at the bottom of this page. This means that those students who have all of their paperwork complete (FAFSA and Work-Study Application) and on file by this date will receive first consideration of available positions.

Is there additional paperwork?
