Cox earns Ph.D. in Nursing Education and Administration

Tiffany Cox of Ridgeland, an Associate Degree Nursing instructor on the Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus, recently completed her Ph.D. in Nursing Education and Administration at William Carey University. After defending her dissertation, "An Examination of Non-Nursing Students' Attitude of Nursing as a Career Choice for Males," Dr. Cox officially received her degree on Aug. 11 during a ceremony held at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. Holmes to participate in statewide C2C initiative

The portal to a better future is just a click away for thousands of Mississippians. The Complete 2 Compete website provides information and resources available to help Mississippi adults who have completed some college, but no degree, to return to college and complete the requirements necessary to earn their degrees. Lexington native gets $30K scholarship

Lexington native Lily Fran, a graduate of Holmes Community College and graduate of Mississippi State University, was recently awarded the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship valued at $30,000 per year for her medical training at the University of Mississippi School Of Medicine in Jackson at the annual scholarship ceremony. McCrory is the daughter of Frankie and Robin McCrory of Lexington. Read more

Holmes presents awards during Convocation 2017

Holmes Community College Public Relations Specialist/Alumni Coordinator Katherine Ellard and Director of Marketing Bronwyn Martin presented nine awards during Convocation 2017 held Aug. 7 on the Goodman Campus. The theme for this year's convocation was "No Place like Holmes," and awards were named for characters from "The Wizard of Oz." Read more

20 Kosciusko dual-enrollment students to have works published

Twenty-three Kosciusko High School students' work was chosen to be published in the Write for Mississippi project and out of those 23, 20 are Holmes Community College Dual Enrollment students. These juniors and seniors submitted their work during spring of 2017 for either their dual-credit English Composition II or dual-credit American Literature II class. Read more
