Attala Center implements MI-BEST program

The Holmes Community College Attala Center has implemented a program called MI-BEST (Mississippi Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training) which is an accelerated approach to the instruction of skills training and workplace preparation. There is no cost for tuition for students who qualify for this program. Read more

The Holmes Community College Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Lambda Sigma Chapter is holding an Embryo Adoption Awareness Event at the D.P. “Pat” McGowan Workforce Training Center in Ridgeland on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. Dr. John D. Isaacs Jr., a reproductive endocrinologist, will present the medical aspects of embryo adoption and Ashley Pittman, J.D, LL.M, an attorney, will present the legal aspects of embryo adoption.

Nursing students participate in St. Dominic Wellness Fest

The 40 Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus freshmen Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students participated in the 19th Annual St. Dominic Senior Wellness Fest on Sept. 22. Held at Mississippi Trade Mart in downtown Jackson, the annual event is one of Mississippi's largest senior events of the year. Read more
