How do I submit official documents?

Holmes Community College embraces the philosophy that the student be provided with opportunities to enhance their education by providing a variety of instructional opportunities. HCC ascribes to an “open admissions” policy consistent with all appertaining laws. All requirements for admission to Holmes Community College must be met within the first 1/4 of the semester of initial enrollment. Failure to provide official documentation within that period will result in the student being charged a missing document fee equal to the amount of tuition and placed on admissions hold.

Home School Transcripts

Home school transcripts may be developed by the parent OR by a third-party home school transcript agency. At a minimum, home school transcripts should:

  • List the school name and address.
  • List student’s full name and identifier(s) (date of birth, social security number, etc.).
  • List all courses taken, grades, and dates completed. At a minimum, all 4 years of high school must be included, even if the student attended a different secondary school previously.
  • Have a cumulative GPA calculated on a 4 point scale.
  • Include the full graduation date (month, date, and year), if the student has graduated. Prior to graduation, an “anticipated graduation date” can be listed.
  • Be signed and dated by the “School Principal”.
  • Must be notarized on the transcript (on the same page with signatures and courses listed) if grades are conferred by a parent. In cases where a third party home school association or organization validates and confers an official transcript, that official transcript is not required to be notarized.

Home School transcripts should be delivered in the same manner as official high school transcripts.
