Social & Behavioral Science

Holmes Community College’s Social and Behavioral Science page contains the programs of study in Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work. We offer courses taught in the traditional (face-to-face), Hybrid (combination of traditional and online), and online formats, during the day and evening. Our experienced and dedicated faculty is available to assist you as you begin or continue your academic career.

The Criminal Justice AA degree is designed to prepare the student who is eager to continue their education at a four year college or university. Some of the careers available in criminal justice are: police officer, probation/parole officer, crime scene investigator, postal inspector, victim advocate, juvenile rehabilitation, and research analyst.

Holmes Community College Social & Behavioral Science has a diverse and qualified faculty located district-wide. We seek to provide students with a core understanding of human behavior and relationships, social and cultural practices throughout the world, and the complexities of human development. To enhance the learning experience, our faculty is committed to the incorporation of recent innovations in their disciplines and the utilization of the latest technology to enhance classroom instruction.
